In the Dark Tales collection I capture the intricacies of folklore, where innocence often intersects with the darker themes of human emotions and experiences. Inspired by early 20th century surrealist artists, fairy tales such as The Brothers Grimm and alluring gothic aesthetics, I embrace that playful and free spirited inner child with expressive brush strokes and juxtaposition of the odd and the ordinary by bringing forth haunting figures that offer a sense of strangeness, beauty and introspection.
